AIC Membership is open to Private Equity, Private Credit and Fund of Funds firms. Associate Membership is available to private equity and private credit service providers.
Advocating for private investment
- Deliver persuasive advocacy of the industry’s top legislative priorities
- Preserve carried interest capital gains and prevent elimination of interest deductibility
- Pursue and obtain regulatory solutions to reduce red tape and costs in the United States and abroad
- Conduct select judicial advocacy on key issues
- Educate legislators on private equity’s economic impact in their districts and states
Educating the public on the benefits of private equity & PRIVATE CREDIT
- Conduct innovative research demonstrating the benefits of private equity for a wide array of stakeholders including pension recipients, workers, and entrepreneurs
- Provide analysis and key resources on industry trends and fund performance
- Promote the benefits of private investment to the media, decision makers, and industry observers
Promoting responsible investment
- Establish and promote Guidelines for Responsible Investing
- Host semi-annual ESG seminars to educate AIC members
- Promote the recruitment and retention of women in the industry through the Private Equity Women’s Initiative, in partnership with the National Association of Investment Companies (NAIC)
